Womanspace, Inc. is a leading nonprofit agency in Mercer County, New Jersey that provides comprehensive services to individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence. Programs include crisis intervention, emergency shelter, counseling, court advocacy, and housing services.

National Sexual Violence Resource Center

The nation’s leading resource center on sexual violence. Includes a search engine for the NSVRC library and other ways of accessing information.

New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NJCASA)

NJCASA is the collective voice for victims of sexual violence, their loved ones and rape crisis centers across the Garden State. Its member centers represent each of New Jersey’s 21 counties.

Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape

PCAR is an organization working at the state and national levels to prevent sexual violence. PCAR uses its voice to challenge public attitudes, raise public awareness, and effect critical changes in public policy, protocols, and responses to sexual violence.

The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN)

RAINN provides information and statistics on sexual assault and can locate a local rape crisis center in your area.

Information on the impact of rape, date rape drugs, facts and statistics, as well as a comprehensive list of links to other resources. Also provides sections on how to get help and how to help a friend.


Domestic & Sexual Violence

National Coalition Against Domestic Violence

Extensive website providing information on how to protect oneself, ways to take action, public policy, programs offered and many other resources relating to domestic violence.

National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence

Provides information on different training opportunities as well as online newsletters. Includes an extensive section related to the military. National Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Hotlines available.

Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF)

A national nonprofit organization that advocates for laws to help battered women, educates judges, and provides training and support to employers and health care providers. The End Abuse Links section has several different topics, including teen dating violence, men and fathers, immigration issues, animal abuse, and resources in Spanish.

Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence

Providing advocacy for battered women, PCADV is a private non-profit organization with a statewide network of 61 domestic violence programs across the Commonwealth.  Provides a list of useful resources as well as their current projects.

Jane Doe Inc.

Jane Doe Inc., of The Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, brings together organizations and people committed to ending domestic violence and sexual assault. They address the root causes of this violence, promoting justice, safety and healing for survivors through public policy, collaboration, public awareness, and prevention and intervention services.

The R.O.S.E. Fund

Assists victims of violence in regaining self-esteem by helping to bridge the gap between being victims and survivors. Services include scholarships, reconstructive surgery, and cooking/nutrition workshops.

National Center for Victims of Crime

This site is geared toward helping crime victims rebuild their lives. NCVC addresses issues of stalking, dating violence, teen victims, and violence against women. Information on legislation, public policy, and civil litigation is available. Hotline for victims to get help is available in over 180 languages (TTY and email available).

Campus Crime Links

Provides a list of additional web resources related to crime and law enforcement on campuses, including a toolkit to help end violence against women.

The Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence

This resource focuses on providing programming to businesses, but includes an extensive section on statistics related to violence and the workplace programs.

Communities Against Violence Network (CAVNET)

Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI)

SVRI works globally to address the gaps in research concerning sexual violence and evaluate intervention to prevent or respond to sexual violence.

Stalking Resource Center

Associated with the National Center for Crime Victims this site provides a clearinghouse of information, including help for victims, legislation, and court cases.

Stalking: A Handbook for Victims

A PDF file containing extensive information for victims of stalking, including warning signs, safety, and a section specifically on stalking that occurs on college campuses.

Provides information on how to identify stalking in its many forms, how to protect oneself from stalking, and what to do if one is a victim of stalking.


Male Voices

For Men Only: For Male Survivors of Sexual Assault

From the Counseling and Mental Health Center at the University of Texas at Austin, provides a wide range of information for male survivors of sexual assault.

Men Can Stop Rape

Mobilizes male youth to prevent men’s violence against women by challenging harmful aspects of traditional masculinity, valuing alternative visions of male strength, and embracing their vital role as allies with women and girls in fostering healthy relationships and gender equity.

The White Ribbon Campaign

Working in over fifty-five different countries, the White Ribbon Campaign is the largest effort in the world of men working to end violence against women. Campaigns are led by both men and women, even though the focus is on educating men and boys.

TCNJ White Ribbon Campaign Chapter

This student organization on campus provides TCNJ men and women an option to speak up against violence against women.

One in Four

One in Four, Inc. (previously NO MORE) is dedicated to prevent rape by the thoughtful application of theory and research to rape prevention programming. One in Four provides presentations, training, and technical assistance to men and women, with a focus on all-male programming targeted toward colleges, high schools, the military, and local community organizations.


LGBTQI

National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs: National Advocacy for Local LGBT Communities

Provides resources for those researching violence against LGBT communities and those experiencing it.

The National Coalition for LGBT Health

Offers research, policy, programs and services, professional and cultural competency, and embraces the diversity of the national LGBT community. Also provides information on how to become involved with these campaigns.

The NYC Gay and Lesbian Anti Violence Project (AVP)

Provides extensive resources, including victim information, safe dating tips, and legal services to the LGBTQ and HIV-affected communities of NY.  Also offers a 24 hour hotline available in English and Spanish.

The Network/La Red

Resource provided in English and Spanish for females specifically in the lesbian, bisexual, and trans communities. Addresses battering within these communities as well as providing resources to victims and survivors of violence.

The Survivor Project

This website is devoted to advocating for trans and intersex victims and survivors of violence, including the “Guide to Intersex and Trans Terminologies” and information regarding violence against these communities.


People with Disabilities

The Center for Research on Women with Disabilities (CROWD)

Provides research related to women with disabilities, including a section on Women and Abuse.

Abused Deaf Women’s Advocacy Services (ADWAS)

Provides services for deaf and deaf-blind men and women who are victims or survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Hotline services through AIM (ADWASHotline), email (ADWAS@NDVH.org), and TTY(1-800-787-3224).

DeafHope

Works to end domestic and sexual violence against Deaf women and children through empowerment, education and services.


International/Multicultural

American Domestic Violence Crisis Line

866USWOMEN is a toll free international hotline to serve Americans being abused in foreign countries. Also toll free in the US to aid families of those being abused.

Resources for U.S. Citizens Victimized Abroad

Provided by the U.S. Office for  Victims of Crime (OVC), this database offers resources to assist those who are victims of crime while travelling, working, or living abroad.

INCITE! Women of Color Against Violence

An activist organization of radical feminist women of color working to end violence against women of color. Provides newletters, institute and conference information, and ways to get involved.

Manavi

New Jersey-based (New Brunswick) organization that works to end violence against South Asian women (Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka).  Provides advocacy services, interpretation/translation, and transitional housing for victims and survivors as well as diversity/cultural sensitivity training to those working in the field.

Institute on Domestic Violence in the African American Community (University of Minnesota)

Focuses specifically on how the African-American community is affected by domestic violence. Provides statistics, newsletters, and information on their current projects.

National Latino Alliance for the Elimination of Domestic Violence

Works in four main areas (Community Education and Development, Public Policy, Research, and Training and Technical Assistance) with Latino/a populations for Domestic Violence awareness. Site available in English and Spanish.

LibertadLatina.org

A non-profit project that works to end the sexual exploitation of all women and children in the Americas. They focus on building effective defenses against the many forms of criminal impunity that threaten the lives of Indigenous & Latina women & children wherever they may be.
